Clothing should be kept simple: solid colors, classic styling, similar tones. We recommend LIGHTER clothing; even too much navy can be too heavy. If you intend to display more than one child's portrait together, be sure to coordinate the clothing.  

For Girls:We love the enduring look of a classic heirloom smocked dress or a formal flower girl or communion dress. Colors of white, ivory, lavender, soft blue, or pink make perfect compliments to the soft style of these portraits and highlight your child's beautiful expression. We prefer small to medium sized hair bows. 

For Boys:Younger boys are handsome in a Bobby Suit or Romper. Older boys would enjoy the style of a dress shirt in a solid color such as white, ivory, lavender, or soft blue. A nice accessory might be a bow tie, suspenders or a belt.

We ask for a Reservation Deposit to hold your spot. After your portrait sitting all of your deposit will be applied to your wall portrait art. 

Prices start at $1950 for hand-painted portraits. All the curated art pieces include framing. You can select fine art museum paper (matted) or canvas, two sizes available in each. Oval portraits are a little more because we hand-paint the frames. 

Examples of all the curated portrait presentations will be displayed at your portrait sitting. 

Truly, the most important thing is to capture your child before they grow and change even more. Have Heather photograph them now and pay for your artwork over time. Don't miss this moment. Painted portraits take 4-6 months to finish; payment plans are available.

Your appointment will last approximately 30 minutes. Heather will photograph your child, then you meet with her at a later date via Zoom to make your selections.

Children of any age are welcome! Most parents want this style of portrait made for children ages 2 to 10. But we believe that any child, even a teen, is appropriate for this style. We've made these for 11-year-olds and even 15-year-olds!

The Works of Wonder Artist Event celebrates the individuality of each child and the curated products are simply not suited for multiple subjects. 

Parents of multiples may elect to have their oldest child participate in this project now, and younger children when they reach the same age. This would create a lovely anthology of all of your children at the same age.

This Artist Project is to create beautifully designed photographic or hand-painted portraits for clean and modern home interiors. There are no props. A hand-painted backdrop will provide a simple palette for your child to be the focus. 

For this event, portraits purchased from this event are displayed in a uniquely curated presentation that is ready to hang and worthy of long-term prominent display in your beautiful home.
